The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that City offices will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2024, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Please note that residential water and sewer services, as well as garbage collection, will operate on their regular schedule. The Iqaluit Aquatic Centre will be open from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

As Fire Prevention Week continues, the City of Iqaluit urges all residents to prepare and practise a home fire escape plan.
In an emergency, your first exit may be blocked by fire or smoke. That is why it's important to plan two ways out of every room in your home and ensure all household members know the escape routes.
Please be advised of a water shut down on Wednesday, October 08, from approximately 1:00PM to 5:00 PM to allow for necessary water infrastructure work.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Imiqtarviminiq Street will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday, October 7, 2025, to allow for essential upgrades to the water and sewer infrastructure.
This closure is expected to remain in effect until Saturday, October 26, 2025.
