The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that the last day for turf use at the Arctic Winter Games Arena will be Sunday, August 24, 2025.
Following this date, the facility will be closed to allow for turf removal and ice installation. The ice surface is expected to be ready by September 19, ahead of the Arctic Winter Games selection camps taking place that weekend.

Come explore the newly unveiled facility, meet the operators behind essential city services, and get up close to the equipment that keeps Iqaluit running. Hot dogs will be available, and job opportunities will be showcased on site.
