Building a strong Canada starts with investing in the infrastructure that makes it possible to increase housing supply and empower communities. in Budget 2025, the Government of Canada announced the Build Communities Strong Fund, a key initiative to build the infrastructure that Canadians rely on every day.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that due to limited staff availability, the Iqaluit Aquatic Centre will be operating on a reduced schedule to the public on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Water Service Restoration – Queen Elizabeth Way
March 26, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that water service has been restored following a water main break on Queen Elizabeth Way. Water was turned back on at approximately 11:00 PM on March 25, 2026.
Queen Elizabeth Way has now reopened and is fully accessible to traffic.
