Aquatic Centre Temporary Closure – Service Update

March 10, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that repairs at the Aquatic Centre are still ongoing and the facility will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Staff have been working throughout the day to assess and address the issue. The facility will remain closed while repairs are completed and staff ensure it can safely reopen for the community. Another update will be provided tomorrow at 11:00 AM regarding the status of the facility and the anticipated re-opening.

The City of Iqaluit apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks residents for their continued patience and understanding while staff work to safely reopen the Aquatic Centre.
