Weathering Change – Impact for Businesses

Public Service Announcement
Weathering Change – Impact for Businesses
November 14, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

As part of the City of Iqaluit’s new severe weather communication approach, we want to clarify what this means for local businesses and community organizations.

The City will continue to use a phased approach to closures. A Full City Closure remains an option, but it will only be used when significant operational disruption makes it necessary, such as during major snowfall cleanup or when safe operations cannot be maintained.
