The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce that the Reaching Home team is now accepting proposals for funding to support projects aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness in Iqaluit for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. A total of $1,070,000 in funding is available for eligible activities under the following categories:

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the back-road access to Plateau will be closed on Saturday, March 1, 2025, to allow Public Works staff to carry out snow removal activities.
The road will be closed from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work will begin early in the morning and residents are expected to plan their travel accordingly.

The City of Iqaluit advises residents that a small event will be taking place at the Tumikuluit Saipaaqivik Child Care Centre in Apex on February 28, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Drivers are urged to drive with caution, as pedestrians will be in parts of the roadway near the building. Please reduce speed and remain alert when traveling through the area.
