Clear Your Snow for Service
November 28, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit Public Works department would like to remind residents that they have an important role to play in helping us remove your trash.

Residents are responsible for clearing a path through the snow to your trash bin, as well as clearing your driveway.

A little snow on your bin might not seem like much, but when you are accessing 100’s of bins a day, it adds up. Every effort you make to help our Sanitation team is appreciated.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that the Arnaitok Arena is temporarily closed due to unsafe ice conditions caused by a malfunctioning compressor, which has rendered the ice surface unsuitable for use.

Pack the Back Donation Drive!

The City of Iqaluit, in partnership with the Iqaluit Fire Department (IFD) and Iqaluit Firefighters’ Association (IFA), is hosting the annual Pack the Back donation drive on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

We will be collecting donations at the following locations:
  • NorthMart: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Arctic Ventures: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
