The City of Iqaluit would like to inform all registered users under the Inuit Child First Initiative that a waiting period of 5 business days will now apply before visiting their selected store. Each store will set up an account for each registered user and for each child registered under the program, ensuring individual accounts for all beneficiaries.

The City of Iqaluit would like to remind residents to use extra caution when travelling this Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, 2024.

To help ensure a safe evening for children out trick-or-treating the Iqaluit Municipal Enforcement Department and the Iqaluit Fire Department will be present in various locations throughout the city. They will provide high-visibility assistance to families, patrol the community, and offer a reassuring presence.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform its residents in respect to regulations under the Municipal Traffic Safety Bylaw 943, as well as the Nunavut Traffic Safety Act in regards to removing all accumulation of snow, ice or any other obstruction that may obstruct the view of the driver or become dislodged from any other part of the vehicle while in motion.
