COUNCIL MEETINGS BROADCAST SCHEDULE ON CFRT 107.3 FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER:

Working with the l’Association des francophones du Nunavut (AFN), the City has entered into an agreement to have each Council meeting rebroadcast twice per session – once in Inuktitut and once in English – on the AFN’s radio station, CFRT 107.3 FM.

Each month, the Inuktitut broadcast of the Council meeting is scheduled for 1:30 PM on the Thursday following each Council meeting.

The meeting will also be rebroadcast in English at 7 PM on the second Thursday after each Council meeting.

Annual Aquatic Centre Maintenance Closure
July 23, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the upcoming annual maintenance closure of the Iqaluit Aquatic Centre gym and pool.

The gym and pool will be closed from Monday, July 27 to Sunday, August 2.

Following this closure, the pool will remain closed from Sunday, August 2 to Sunday, August 16. The gym is expected to reopen on August 3.

Road Closure – Niaqunngusiariaq Road

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Niaqunngusiariaq Road will be closed to traffic between Saputi Road and Kangiq & Iniq Drive to allow for essential upgrades to water and sewer infrastructure.

This closure will be in effect from Wednesday, July 22, 2026, to Friday, July 31, 2026.
