Flags at Half-Mast in Honour of Victims in Tumbler Ridge, BC

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that all municipal flags at City facilities will be lowered to half-mast to mark the tragic deaths that occurred in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on February 10, 2026.

The City of Iqaluit is proud to announce that we are nominating the Arctic Winter Games Arena for Kraft Hockeyville 2026, a national award program that supports upgrades to local arenas across Canada. The winning community will receive $250,000 in funding for critical repairs and improvements, and we need your help to make it happen.

Winter Day Camp – Updated Registration Deadline
February 4, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the registration deadline for the 2026 Winter Day Camp has been moved up and will now close at the end of the day on Tuesday, February 10.

This change has been made to ensure families have sufficient time to make alternative childcare arrangements if their child is not selected for the program.
