The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the fire at the City landfill was considered extinguished at approximately 11:15 PM last night. A Sanitation staff member remained on scene overnight to maintain a fire watch and monitor for any flare-ups.

Aquatic Centre Hours:
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that a road closure will be in effect on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, following the Canada Day Parade.
The road closure will be in place to allow residents and families to safely gather at the Nakasuk parking lot and take part in the community events and celebrations.
