The City of Iqaluit advises all residents that beginning September 25, 2025, applications for Cabin Licenses will be accepted for both new and existing cabins.
Cabins Zones: The City has established Cabin Zones, ensuring that cabin development does not conflict with future growth or sensitive environments. Visit plan.iqaluit.ca/map to view the Cabin Zones.
The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents in the 2600s and 2700s that we are currently experiencing low water pressure in these areas. City crews are aware of the issue and are working diligently to resolve it as quickly as possible.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a community walk organized by the Embrace Life Council in recognition of Embrace Life Day.
The walk is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., beginning at the 4 Corners and ending at the Elders Qammaq. This annual event promotes mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and community connection.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a road closure on John Amagoalik Lane in Apex, from September 5 to 12, 2025.
