Show and Shine Community Event
August 8, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit is excited to invite residents to the third annual Show & Shine, taking place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the new Operations Centre (Building 1549).
The City of Iqaluit is sharing how City Council meetings operate and how decisions that shape the community are made, to support transparency, accountability, and public trust in local government.
The City of Iqaluit Recreation Department invites local sports organizations, non-profits, and community groups to participate in this year’s Mass Registration event, taking place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Iqaluit Curling Rink.
The City of Iqaluit is aware of ongoing odour issues stemming from the Wastewater Treatment Plant and lagoon that have been noticeable in various parts of the municipality in recent weeks. We recognize the impact this has had on residents’ day-to-day lives and understand the frustration and concern it has caused across the community.
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a temporary road closure between Ukkivik Lane and Sivumugiaq Street to support the IFD vs RCMP Softball Game and Skills Competition.
