The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the City has not initiated a change to the date of this year’s Halloween activities. Trick-or-treating will occur on Halloween, Sunday October 31st. Municipal Enforcement officers will be on mobile patrol on Hal-loween during the afternoon and evening on Sunday.

The City of Iqaluit continues to make progress on its investigation into the drinking water quality issue. The do not consume order remains in effect until further notice.

The quality and quantity of Iqaluit’s water supply is of the utmost importance to the City. The City of Iqaluit is doing everything in its power to ensure that residents have safe and reliable drinking water.

Drinking Water Update – Additional Potable Water Available

The City of Iqaluit has potable bottles of water available for residents on Monday, October 25th, Tuesday, October 26th, and Wednesday, October 27th, 2021.

- Nakasuk School parking lot, from 5:00PM to 7:30PM
- AWG Complex parking lot, from 5:00PM to 7:30PM

Household limits will be in effect throughout the water distribution. We recommend that this water be used for consumption only.

The City of Iqaluit has potable bottles of water available for residents over the weekend at the following times and locations:

Saturday October 23, 2021 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Nakasuk School and the Arctic Winter Games Arena Complex

Sunday October 24, 2021 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Nakasuk School and the Arctic Winter Games Arena Complex
