The City has successfully removed the historic fuel storage tank adjacent to the water treatment
plant, under the direction of Qikiqtaaluk Environment al The City’s Engineering consultant, WSP,
has been providing the technical guidance in this ongoing water emergency.

Please be advised that due to repairs to the water infrastructure, a water interruptions will be taking place on Thursday, November 18th 2021 between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM to allow for the repairs.
Location of water interruptions:
400s, 500s, 1600s
These repairs will have no impact on the current do not consume advisory issued by the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Public Health on October 12, 2021. Until further notice, the do not consume advisory for the City of Iqaluit remains in place.

Traffic Interruption – Nunavut Drive
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a traffic interruption on Nunavut Drive to allow for bottled water distribution.
The traffic interruption will be in effect for the following times:
• Sunday, November 14th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM
• Tuesday, November 16th from 10:00AM to 12:30PM
• Thursday, November 18th from 10:00AM- 12:30PM
• Friday, November 19th from 10:00AM-12:30PM

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of an update to Bottled Water Distribution, ef-fective Sunday, November 14th.
Given the success of CAF-Operation LENTUS in providing the City's water filling depots with treated, potable water from their Reverse Osmosis (RO) machine, the City is scaling back the provision of bottled water to residents.
To date, more than 750,000 Litres of bottled water have been distributed to the community through the Bottled Water
