Water Update - Change of Water Source – Reverse Osmosis Water

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that pumping operations at the river will cease, effective Tuesday, November 9th, 2021. The colder temperatures are making pumping opera-tions at the river increasingly difficult. To continue filling trucks at the river could cause dam-age to the water truck pumps, delays in filling and delivery, and increases safety concerns.

This announcement pertains to all businesses and residents on Trucked Services.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise all residents and businesses on Trucked Services that the source of their water is changing, effective Tuesday, November 9th, 2021.

Drinking Water Update – Additional Potable Water Available

The City of Iqaluit has potable bottles of water available for residents this week. Bottled water will be available every day of the week, but dates and locations have changed based on demand and traffic at each location.

Monday November 8 to Friday November 12 – 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Sunday November 14 – 1:00PM to 3:00PM

Arctic Winter Games Arena
Wednesday November 10 – 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Saturday November 13 – 1:00PM to 4:00PM

The City of Iqaluit has potable bottles of water available for residents this week. Bottled water will be available at these sites from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Monday to Friday, and 1:00PM to 4:00PM on Saturday.
