This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North.”

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that due to inclement weather, the previously scheduled road closures for the filming of North of North have been rescheduled.
The road closure for Jack Anawak St and Niaqunngusiariaq Rd, originally planned for March 3 and 19, will now take place on March 7 and 19, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the back-road access to Plateau will be closed on Saturday, February 28, 2026, to allow Public Works staff to carry out snow removal activities.
The road will be closed from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Work will begin early in the morning and residents are expected to plan their travel accordingly.
The City of Iqaluit would like to let residents know that Interim Property Tax Notices for the first half of 2026 have been mailed out effective February 17, 2026.

During a precautionary boil water advisory, the City recommends that all water for consumption is brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute.
