The City of Iqaluit would like to inform families that the Little Ukpiks Afterschool Program will be cancelled for the week of March 9 to March 13, 2026, as many of our program staff will be participating in and supporting the Arctic Winter Games (AWG).

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that programming at the Aquatic Centre swimming pool will be significantly reduced from March 8 to March 16, 2026, due to the Arctic Winter Games.
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that due to inclement weather, the previously scheduled road closures for the filming of North of North have been rescheduled.
The road closure for Simonie Michael Lane, originally planned for March 2 and 3, will now take place on March 3 and 4, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a complete road closure of portions of Jack Anawak Street and Niaqunngusiariaq Road on March 3 and 19, 2026.
Jack Anawak Street (between Jose Kusugak Lane and Niaqunngusiariaq Road) and Niaqunngusiariaq Road (between Jack Anawak Street and John Amagoalik Lane) will be closed to traffic.
