The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a complete road closure of portions of Jack Anawak Street and Niaqunngusiariaq Road on March 18, 2026.

Jack Anawak Street (between Jose Kusugak Lane and Niaqunngusiariaq Road) and Niaqunngusiariaq Road (between Jack Anawak Street and John Amagoalik Lane) will be closed to traffic.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a complete road closure of Simonie Michael Lane on March 14, 2026.

This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North.”

The closure will be in effect on March 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to advise residents that the Aquatic Centre will reopen today at 5:00 PM.

City staff have completed the necessary repairs to ensure the facility can safely welcome residents back. The City appreciates the community’s patience during the temporary closure.

City staff are currently working to address the issue as quickly as possible so the facility can safely reopen for the community. An update will be provided at 11:00 AM regarding the anticipated re-opening of the facility.
