The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a scheduled road closure on Mivvik Street from July 10, 2024, to August 10, 2024. This closure is necessary for the much-anticipated repaving of Mivvik Street, a vital infrastructure project funded through the Municipal Capital Block Funding.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of scheduled washroom renovations in the lobby of the Arnaitok Arena.
To facilitate this work, the lobby will continue to be closed to the public until August 19, 2024, due to delays in material delivery. During this period, an alternate entrance will be available for use.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a planned road closure next to the Nakasuk School for the annual Nunavut Day celebratory events, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. This closure is necessary to accommodate pedestrians and ensure their safety during the event.
Queen Elizabeth Way will be closed from Sinaa Street to the entrance of Nakasuk School parking lot between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Public intoxication and disruptive behaviour are not tolerated. These measures are in place to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all community members.
