The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Fred Coman Street will be closed to all traffic on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to support Qaujigiartiit’s 20th anniversary celebration.

The road closure is necessary to provide a safe space for community activities taking place as part of the celebration.

This closure is necessary to help ensure the safety of players, spectators, staff, volunteers, and residents attending the tournament.

The closure will be in effect every weekend during the month of September, from 7:00 AM on Saturday to 7:00 PM on Sunday, on the following dates:

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the road closure on Fred Coman Street, currently in place to allow for essential upgrades to the water and sewer infrastructure, has been extended.
