The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that there will be a road closure at the intersection of Atungauyait Drive and Paunna Road to allow for the installation of water and sewer main lines.

This closure will be in effect from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to Friday, September 11, 2026.

August 17, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that Anuri Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Monday, August 17 to Saturday, August 22, 2026, to allow for culvert installation and road repairs.

The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public while the work is underway.

Road Closure – Saputi Road & Pingua Street

August 11, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a road closure on Saputi Road and Pingua Street on August 12, 2026.

Road access will be closed to all vehicle traffic, however, there will be periodic times when limited access will be available. Residents are asked to follow all posted signage and instructions from workers on site.

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to advise residents that road improvement and paving work on parts of Pingua Street and Qaqqaliaq Street will begin on Thursday, August 13, as part of the City's 2026 road improvement projects. The City recognizes that many residents have been looking forward to these improvements and appreciates their patience as the work gets underway.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Niaqunngusiariaq Road will be closed to traffic at the intersection of Saputi Street and Niaqunngusiariaq Road to allow for essential upgrades to water and sewer infrastructure.

This closure will be in effect from Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to Friday, August 7, 2026.

July 20, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Niaqunngusiariaq Road will be closed to traffic between Saputi Road and Kangiq & Iniq Drive to allow for essential upgrades to water and sewer infrastructure.

This closure will be in effect from Wednesday, July 22, 2026, to Friday, July 31, 2026.

Partial Road Closure – Niaqunngusiariaq Road

July 17, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a partial road closure on Niaqunngusiariaq Road, in the area around Apex Hill, from July 20 to August 2. The closure is required to complete granular work associated with paving a portion of the roadway.
