The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the boil water advisory is lifted for the following location: City of Iqaluit.

The citywide water interruption on has now been resolved. There may be some temporary discolouration of the tap water.
The City of Iqaluit is under a precautionary boil water advisory for all customers.
When water pressure drops, the Chief Public Health Officer of Nunavut automatically issues a precautionary boil water advisory. If this water interruption affects your residence, you are under a precautionary boil water advisory.
Due to the planned citywide water shutdown, City of Iqaluit offices at Building 1085 and 901 will be closed on September 1st. They will reopen on Tuesday, September 5th.

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce the return of one of our most anticipated annual events; Mass Registration. This year’s Mass Registration happens on Saturday, September 9th from 11 am to 3:30pm at the Arctic Winter Games Arena. Groups can begin to set up their tables at 10:00am.
As previously announced, there will be a City wide water shutdown from 9am until 5pm on Friday September 1st.
The only exception is the Qikiqtani General Hospital. The hospital will continue to have water service during the shutdown, and will not be subject to the Health Department’s precautionary boil water order following the shutdown.
The City advises residents that from 9am to 5 pm on Friday September 1st, there will be a City wide water shutdown. This shutdown is necessary to allow for critical and necessary infrastructure upgrades.

The City of Iqaluit Recreation Department would like to inform residents that the Arnaitok Arena will be closed from September 2nd until October 13th. This is to allow for arena upgrades, as well as hosting the Nunavut Trade Show.
At the Arctic Winter Games Arena, the last day turf will be available at the arena is September 3rd.
Both arenas will be open and ready for skating On October 14th, and we hope to see you there.
