Please be advised of a water shut down in the Core Area on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from approximately 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for a repair to the water infrastructure.
Location of water interruption: 782,784,786,788,790,792,806,808,810.
The City of Iqaluit is issuing a boil water advisory for these residents.
This is a precautionary measure due to a break in the water line during a repair to our water infrastructure.

Iqaluit Fire Department Responds to House Fire in Happy Valley
At 09:56 on December 7, 2020, Iqaluit Emergency Services were called to the Happy Valley area of Iqaluit for reports of a house on fire. The Iqaluit fire crew consisting of fourteen (14) members and seven (7) emergency service vehicles responded to scene.
On arrival, firefighters found flames already exiting a window, made quick entry into the house, and were able to keep the fire contained to the room of origin.

The City would like to remind snowmobilers to use caution and follow safe driving practices
when operating a snowmobile this winter.
As per City By-Law 557, snowmobilers are required to be considerate and respectful of other
residents and private property. Please only use snowmobile trails that are clearly marked, as
outlined on the attached snowmobile trail map.
