On Tuesday, February 15th, the Iqaluit City Council approved the 2022 Budget.
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the main entrance of the Arnaitok Arena – Building 901 will be closed to the public on Thursday, February 10 and Friday, February 11, 2022, for floor renovations in the main area of the building.
• The multi-tank bypass remains in operation
• The raw water from Lake Geraldine is subject to Ultra-Violet primary and chlorine secondary disinfection followed by straining prior to being discharged to the City’s reservoirs and distribution system.
• The bypass is expected to remain in operation until the permanent tank solution is installed
• A team of engineering specialists were on site to assess the condition of the Water Treatment Plant concrete tanks
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents on trucked-water of a schedule disruption due repairs required to one of the City water trucks.
With this vehicle taken out of our fleet for a short period, residents can expect potential delays in water deliveries on February 04, 2022. All residents will receive water on Friday; however, there could be a time delay to the normal route schedule.
