The City of Iqaluit is looking for persons interested in serving as members of the Iqaluit City Council.
In order to qualify, the prospective appointee must meet the following criteria:
The City would like to advise all residents that, effective immediately, the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Iqaluit is lifted. This include residents on Trucked Services. A Boil Water Advisory is a standard requirement whenever there is a significant change to the water treatment process, and is a precautionary measure only.
The City of Iqaluit would like to notify residents that as of January 25, 2022 dog tags will be available through the Municipal Enforcement department at Building 901, above the Arnaitok Arena, between the hours of 9AM and 5PM Monday through Friday.
Residents are encouraged to register their animal with the Municipal Enforcement department to ensure that lost animals can be connected with their owners as soon as possible.
On Monday, January 24, 2022 at approximately 3:00AM, Iqaluit Emergency Services responded to a report of smoke coming from a row house in the 2200 area of town.
Firefighters arrived at the location and quickly contained the fire to the unit of origin.
