The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of multiple complete road closures (map below) affecting Simonie Michael Crescent, Simonie Michael Lane and Helen Maksagak Drive in Apex. These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “Untitled Arctic Comedy”.
Please be advised of a water shut down on Friday, March 8th, from approximately 10:00AM to 1:00PM to allow for necessary water infrastructure work.

The City of Iqaluit is looking for certified interpreters and translators interested in being added to the City Clerk’s contact list for simultaneous interpretation services at City Council meetings, and/or for translation of City documents, on an as-needed basis.
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the main driveway to Inuksugait Plaza, located off Ikaluktuutiak Drive (red X mark on the map below), will be closed effective March 6th at 1pm, to allow for water infrastructure repair.

Post Blizzard Update – Recreation Facilities Reopening

6:00 PM - The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that City of Iqaluit Recreational Facilities will resume normal operating hours tomorrow, Saturday March 2nd.
Below are the Saturday opening hours for recreation facilities:
• Arctic Winter Games Arena (AWG): 7:00 AM
• Arnaitok Arena: 8:30 AM
• Aquatic Center: 9:00 AM
