Car wash ban extended

The City would like to remind residents that the water ban for car washes is still in effect. This ban includes all motor vehicles and boats, whether for personal or commercial use.

This notice is issued in accordance with section 206(3) of Bylaw 200.

These measures are necessary, and are part of the City’s water management strategy. The City would like to remind residents to continue to be water wise, and conserve our water supply.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that Niaqunngusiariaq Drive (adjacent to Joamie School – see map below) will be closed to all traffic on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This closure is to allow for the painting a crosswalk:

The City of Iqaluit Recreation Department invites residents, community organizations and businesses to enter floats in the July 1st (Canada Day) festivities parade.

Guidelines for participating floats:

• All floats and/or individual participants must be registered with the City of Iqaluit Recreation
Department in advance of the Parade starting.

The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the precautionary boil water advisory is lifted for the following location: 100s, 200s, 300s.

If residents experience water discolouration, they are advised to run their cold tap water for approximately ten minutes, to flush the discolouration out.
