Road Closure – Kangiq & Iniq Drive

April 24, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Kangiq & Iniq Drive will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, April 27, 2026, to allow for the first phase of essential upgrades to the water and sewer infrastructure.

This closure is expected to remain in effect until Monday, May 11, 2026.

A map is included below to indicate the affected area and location of the work. Detour signage will be in place. Residents and drivers are asked to follow all posted instructions and plan alternative routes. Access for local residents will be maintained.

For safety reasons, please stay clear of construction equipment and work areas.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience and understanding as this important work is completed.
