The City would like to inform residents of the holiday hours and closures, to recreation facilities, over the winter holidays.
Aquatic Centre Holiday Hours
As of September 20, 2021, the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health made mask wearing mandatory in public places, in all communities across the territory.
The City of Iqaluit would like remind residents that as part of these ongoing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, masks are mandatory in all City of Iqaluit Facilities, at all times, with the following exceptions:
The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that as part of ongoing water quality monitoring efforts, the Water Quality Hotline remains open until further notice.
On December 1st, all Recreation staff were reassigned to help with the water emergency plan. As a result, the Fitness Centre was closed along with the Swimming Pool which was previously closed due to the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health “Do Not Consume” Order.
