Household Hazardous Waste Day and Paint Exchange
August 11, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit will be hosting the annual Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Day and paint exchange on Saturday August 27, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Air Base. This event provides residents an opportunity to safely dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste, as well as an opportunity for residents to swap paint canisters.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the newly assigned date for the second Summer in the Square. This event will take place in Iqaluit Square on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Car Wash Ban

August 9, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City would like to remind residents that the water ban for car washes is still in effect. This ban includes all motor vehicles and boats, whether for personal or commercial use and is applicable to City treated water. The car wash ban does not apply to the use of rain collected water or non City treated lake water.

This notice is issued in accordance with section 206(3) of Bylaw 200.
