The City of Iqaluit is pleased to inform the public that the Walk For The Cure event hosted by the City of Iqaluit Firefighters was a resounding success.

Firefighters estimate that between 200 and 300 people joined them on October 2nd, for a 1K and 5K walk or run, a chance to meet the firefighters and see their trucks, face painting and a bake sale.

On Saturday September 30th, beginning at 6 am, there will be a slight traffic disruption. A house is being moved via truck from the area near the softball field to the Telesat station on the Apex Road.

The entire process is expected to take under an hour. Please be aware of the work crews, and thank you for your patience.
