Fox Trap Safety While on the Land
November 29, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to remind residents to exert caution when walking on the land – especially with small children, or animals – as fox traps are present.

Residents are reminded that they are responsible to keep their pets and children safe when travelling on the land. Municipal Bylaw #924, also known as the Domestic Animal Control Bylaw, states that all animals are required to be leashed and under control at all times.

07:00 - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that city services have been restored, including water delivery, waste management and garbage removal, and that normal business hours have resumed. City recreational facilities are also open.

16:00 - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the city services, such as water delivery, waste management, garbage pick-up and snow removal, are still suspended and city facilities remain closed to the public, until further notice, due to severe weather conditions.

Emergency services will be provided unless it is unsafe and/or impossible to do so; delays can be expected.
