Please be advised of a water shut down on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 from approximately 9:00 am to 11:00am. to allow for necessary water infrastructure work.

The City of Iqaluit is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory for the above addresses.

The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the precautionary boil water advisory is lifted for the following location: 1080, 1082, 1084, 1085
If residents experience water discolouration, they are advised to run their cold tap water for approximately ten minutes, to flush the discolouration out.

Please Adjust Driving to Road Conditions

The City would like to remind residents to monitor weather conditions, and adjust driving to road conditions.
During the fall and winter months, roads can become icy, and are more slippery to drive on. Residents are asked to lower their speed as well as allow for at least one car length between vehicles. Snow tires would also assist with traction.

11:00 - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that city services have been restored, including water delivery, waste management and garbage removal, and that normal business hours have resumed. City recreational facilities are also open.

07:00 - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that roads are now being cleared and the city is in the process of resuming limited services (water and waste removal). Full suspension of services is still a possibility, if weather conditions deteriorate.
