Ensure Your Business License is Up to Date
January 16, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit advises all business owners that the online portal for 2026 business license renewals is now open.
Business owners are encouraged to submit their renewal applications by January 31, 2026, to benefit from the discounted renewal fee. Applications received on or after February 1, 2026, will be subject to the full renewal fee.
As outlined in Business Licensing By-Law No. 859, all businesses must hold a valid 2026 license by February 15, 2026, to avoid penalties. Applications submitted after this date will also be subject to a $50.00 administrative fee in addition to the regular renewal cost.
To streamline the renewal process, the City has launched a new online Business License Portal powered by CloudPermit. This platform will now be used for all business license applications and renewals, providing a more efficient and accessible experience.
Access the portal: https://ca.cloudpermit.com/gov/login
For assistance or questions about the new portal, please contact the Economic Development Officer or visit City Hall.
