Remembrance Day Hours for City Services 
November 8, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that City offices will be closed to observe the Remembrance Day holiday on Friday, November 11th, 2022. Trucked-services and Recreation services will also have modified operating hours during this time.

Please Adjust Driving to Road Conditions

November 02, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City would like to remind residents to monitor weather conditions, and adjust driving to road conditions.

During the fall and winter months, roads can become icy, and are more slippery to drive on. Residents are asked to lower their speed as well as allow for at least one car length between vehicles. Snow tires would also assist with traction.

11:00 - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that city services have been restored, including water delivery, waste management and garbage removal, and that normal business hours have resumed. City recreational facilities are also open.

Roads Are Being Cleared – Please Stay off Roads until Safe to Drive

07:00 - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that roads are now being cleared and the city is in the process of resuming limited services (water and waste removal).  Full suspension of services is still a possibility, if weather conditions deteriorate.
