The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the precautionary boil water advisory is lifted for the following locations: 1104A 1104B, 1104C, 1105, 1106 and 1107.

Recent City water use statistics show that the demand for water is on the rise. We would like to remind residents to conserve water whenever possible.

Iqaluit’s daily raw water use was 4495 m3 per day in February 2023. That is an increase of 25% from the previous month. In January 2023, residents required 3371 m3 of water daily.

The repairs to the Iqaluit Water Treatment Plant continue. City staff are currently in ongoing discussions with the territorial Chief Public Health Officer. The City has presented the work done to date, and is now answering some routine questions about plant operations.

During City Council Meeting held on January 25, 2022, Council directed Administration to engage with the owners of the Frobisher Racquet Club, to discuss possibly purchasing Building 902. Pending inspections, appraisal and finding funding, the hope was to develop the space into a Youth Wellness Hub.
