The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a partial road closure in front of house 806 on Fred Coman Street (map attached).

The closure will going into effect the afternoon of Wednesday, April 3rd at 2 pm and is estimated to be completed by Tuesday, April 10th.

Residents along this road will still be able to access their homes.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of multiple complete road closures (map below) affecting Simonie Michael Crescent, Simonie Michael Lane and Helen Maksagak Drive in Apex. These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North”.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of multiple complete road closures (map below) affecting Sinaa Street Between Umiaq Crescent and Umiaq Crescent. These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “Untitled Arctic Comedy”.

The closure will be in effect Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 7:00AM to 10:00PM.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that there are four position openings to serve as Member-at-Large on Community Economic Development Committee.

All interested individuals must be in good financial standing with the City (no more than $500.00 in arrears).

There is a $250.00 indemnity paid via direct deposit for each meeting attended.

Fire-Damage Remediation Notice: Snowmobile Trail near Kuugalaak Street
March 27, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents on upcoming fire-damage remediation activity that will be conducted by Public Works staff on the creek snowmobile trail adjacent to Kuugalaak Street.

Fire-damage remediation activity will begin tomorrow morning, March 28, 2024 at 7:00 AM and will continue until complete.
