The City of Iqaluit would like to remind all business owners that the online portal for 2025 business license renewals is now open.

Business owners are encouraged to submit their renewal applications through the Iqaluit Business License system by January 31, 2025, to take advantage of a discounted renewal fee. Applications submitted after February 1, 2025, will be subject to the full renewal fee.

The City of Iqaluit reminds residents that under the Nunavut Traffic Safety Act and City of Iqaluit By-Law 625 (Traffic, Parking, and Walkways By-law), parking on roadways is prohibited unless authorized by posted traffic signage. Vehicles parked in violation of this rule are subject to a fine of up to $75.00, and may also be towed at the owner’s expense.
