The City of Iqaluit would like to remind residents of the Household Hazardous Waste drop off point open Saturday July 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AWG Arena. This event provides residents an opportunity to safely dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste.
The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a scheduled road closure on Mivvik Street from July 10, 2024, to August 10, 2024. This closure is necessary for the much-anticipated repaving of Mivvik Street, a vital infrastructure project funded through the Municipal Capital Block Funding.

Annual Maintenance at Iqaluit Aquatic Centre

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the Iqaluit Aquatic Centre will undergo annual maintenance from July 27, 2024, to August 11, 2024. As a result, the following facility closures will be in effect:
• Pool Area Closure: July 27, 2024 – August 11, 2024
• Fitness Area Closure: August 4, 2024 – August 11, 2024
• Full Facility Closure: August 4, 2024 – August 11, 2024
The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of scheduled washroom renovations in the lobby of the Arnaitok Arena.
To facilitate this work, the lobby will continue to be closed to the public until August 19, 2024, due to delays in material delivery. During this period, an alternate entrance will be available for use.
