Calling all interested volunteers and fitness gurus!  We are now accepting volunteer applications for Fitness Centre Floor Supervisors and Fitness Instructors.  Applications can be found online or can be picked up at the Recreation Reception desk at the AWG arena.  Please return all applications to the Fitness Coordinator no later than Friday, January 20th.  For more information, contact Aimee Stoyles at a.stoyles@city.iqaluit.nu.ca

National Lifeguard Certifcation

Description: 

National Lifeguarding Certification program open to anyone ages 16 & older, with previous certification in Bronze Cross.  Register with Recreation Reception by email (recreation@city.iqaluit.nu.ca) by phone (979-5611) or in-person (at the AWG arena). 

Course runs Sunday January 8th (9am-6pm), Monday, January 9th to Friday, January 13th (5-10pm) and Saturday, January 14th (9-6pm)

The cost for this program is $250/participant.

Join us for the annual Santa Claus Parade!  Call (979-5611) or Email Recreation Reception at: recreation@city.iqaluit.nu.ca to register your float in the parade or for more information!

The parade starts at 12 noon at the Nakasuk School Parking Lot and will make its way over to the AWG where children will be invited to meet Santa and have hot chocolate! 

Prizes will be awarded for the Best parade entries!  We can't wait to see you there!
