Seasonal roadside ditching begins

Seasonal roadside ditching has begun this week to prepare for the spring snowmelt.

The City asks snowmobile drivers to pay close attention to roadwork and barricades, as this work will affect snowmobile trails.

The City also asks families to remind children of their safety when around ditches. Ditch maintenance is required to ensure proper road drainage. The City thanks you for your cooperation.

Boil advisory lifted

The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the boil water advisory is lifted for the following location: 400s, 500s, 1600s, 2200s, 2600s, 2800s, 4100s, 4000s.

Holiday schedule for trucked-services

The City would like to advise residents that trucked-services will not run on Toonik Tyme on Friday, April 23.

City offices are closed to the public on Friday, April 23, 2021.

Please be advised of the following alternate schedule for trucked-services:

Water Shut Down and Boil Water Advisory

Please be advised of a water shut down on Monday, April 12, 2021 from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. to allow for a repair to the water infrastructure.

Location of water interruption: 400s, 500s, 1600s, 2200s, 2600s, 2800s, 4100s, 4000s

The City of Iqaluit is issuing a boil water advisory for these residents.

This is a precautionary measure due to a break in the water line during a repair to our water infrastructure.
