Please be advised of a water shut down on Friday, February 24, 2023 starting at 5:00 p.m. to allow for necessary water infrastructure work. The City plans to complete this work as soon as possible.

Location of water interruption: Plateau

Once water is restored, all affected locations are under a boil water advisory.

6:30am- The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that city services have been restored, including water delivery, waste management and garbage removal, and that normal business hours have resumed. City recreational facilities are also open.

Emergency services will be provided unless it is unsafe and/or impossible to do so; delays can be expected.

Water Update Evening – Plateau

The brief water interruption has now been resolved in the Plateau neighbourhood.

There will be another shutdown for the Plateau on Thursday February 23 beginning at 9 am to continue repairs.

The Plateau remains under a precautionary boil water advisory for all customers.

During a precautionary boil water advisory, the City recommends that all water for consumption is brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute.
