Please be advised of a water shut down on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at approximately 9 a.m. to allow for necessary water infrastructure work.

Location of water interruption: Plateau

When water returns, The City of Iqaluit will issue a precautionary boil water advisory for Plateau.

The water interruption for 1087,1093,1101.1102,1103,1104abc,1105,1106 and 1107 has now been resolved.

1087,1093,1101.1102,1103,1104abc,1105,1106 and 1107 remain under a precautionary boil water advisory.

During a precautionary boil water advisory, the City recommends that all water for consumption is brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute.

The water interruption for the Plateau has now been resolved.

The Plateau remains under a precautionary boil water advisory for all customers

During a precautionary boil water advisory, the City recommends that all water for consumption is brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute.

It is recommended that all water be boiled for the following uses:

City of Iqaluit Public Works crews are continuing repairs on the water main supplying the Plateau. The City appreciates your patience, and we will update customers of any change.

When water does return to the Plateau, the system takes time to return to full pressure. It will be a gradual return for many customers.

4:30pm Water service to Plateau customers will be restored within an hour. The return to full service will be gradual for some Plateau residents, as the water mains take time to refill.

The Plateau is under a precautionary boil water order.

While under a precautionary boil water, please follow these instructions.
