Working Together on Payment Solutions

The City of Iqaluit understands that financial challenges can happen to anyone. If you are behind on payments to the City, we want you to know that it is not too late to reach out. We are here to work with you. Our goal is to support residents in getting back on track through fair and flexible solutions.

Through our Finance and Corporate Services Department, we offer payment plans that are simple to set up, confidential, and tailored to your needs.

There are two types of payment plans available:

Formal Payment Plan A formal payment plan is a written agreement between you and the City. It outlines manageable monthly payments over a set period. These plans are flexible, and if your circumstances change, we can adjust the terms together.

Informal Payment Plan

If you have been making consistent monthly payments for at least six months, covering your current charges and contributing toward your past-due balance, you may already qualify for an informal plan. These arrangements aim to clear outstanding balances within 24 months.
