New Year’s Eve Fireworks
December 21, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce two fireworks displays for City residents on New Year’s Eve.

The 6:00 pm display will be at Imiqtarviminiq Lake (Road to Nowhere, near the Masjid Mosque). This is a chance for people who might not stay awake until midnight, and gives the viewers a much closer view of the show.

The City would like to advise residents that trucked services –water and garbage - will not run on:

The Landfill will be closed on:

• Monday, January 1st, 2024
• Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024
