Please be advised that a blasting operation at the North Forty Quarry will happen around 5:30 PM on Friday, June 12th, 2020.
For your safety, residents need to vacate a 200-metre area due to thrown debris caused by the blasting.

COVID-19 and City of Iqaluit Updates – Recreation Facilities

The City of Iqaluit continues to work closely with the Government of Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer to monitor and respond as needed to the COVID-19 situation.
In response to the continued easing of restrictions from the Chief Public Health Officer, Iqaluit Recreation is working closely with the CPHO to bring its facilities back online for summer programming.

Access to Nunavut Drive from Niaqungusiariaq/Road to Apex will be closed starting Monday, June 8th at 8:00am to Tuesday June 9th at 5:00pm to make repairs to our water and sewer infrastructure. Buildings will still be accessible from Federal Road. The city of apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks you for your understanding.
