Please be advised of a water shut down in the Core Area on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to allow for a repair to the water infrastructure.
Location of water interruption: 5100,5101,5102,5103,5104,5105,5106,5107,5109,5111.
The City of Iqaluit is issuing a boil water advisory for these residents.
This is a precautionary measure due to a break in the water line during a repair to our water infrastructure.

Road Closure and traffic detour in Plateau
Residents are advised of a road closure in the Plateau from Wednesday, February 24 to March 10, 2021 to allow for a repair to our water infrastructure.
Qajisarvik Road from #5100 to #5101 will be closed to traffic both ways.
The attached map outlines the road detour in effect starting February 24.

City of Iqaluit Finance Department now located at 1085 Mivvik Street
As of February 23, 2021, the City of Iqaluit Finance Department is now located and operating at 1085 Mivvik Street.
All City business operations, including in-person payments, which took place at 901 Nunavut Drive, will now be operating at new City Hall located at 1085 Mivvik Street.
Offices in building 901 is now closed to the public until June 2021 to allow for office renovations and accessibility upgrades. Residents will continue to have access to the arena.

Residents are advised of a road closure in Lower Iqaluit from Wednesday, February 24 to March 3, 2021 to allow for a repair to our sewer infrastructure.
Nipisa Street from building #140 to #117 will be closed to traffic both ways.
Traffic detour signs will be in effect.

This notice of Public Hearing is for General Plan By-Law #898 and Zoning By-Law #899. The Public Hearing will precede the Council Meeting on Tuesday March 9, 2021, where there will be a Second Reading of the Amending By-laws.
The purpose of the housekeeping amendments to General Plan No. 703 and Zoning By-Law No. 704 is to update and revise the documents to bring them into conformity to regulatory changes and to add clarity. The benefits include:

The City of Iqaluit invites residents to send in input for proposed improvements to the Apex Cemetery.
The proposed improvements are part of the larger Apex Cemetery remediation project to address site issues related to drainage problems, water in graves and adapting to a changing climate.
