The brief water interruption for 619, 621, 624, 626, 923, 924, 926, 927 and 961 has now been resolved.

619, 621, 624, 626, 923, 924, 926, 927 and 961 remain under a precautionary boil water advisory.

During a precautionary boil water advisory, the City recommends that all water for consumption is brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a scheduled road closure in front of building 762 on Fred Coman Street.

This closure is scheduled to allow for the building to be connected to water and sewer. The site layout is shown below. These measures are anticipated to be in effect from April 14th to April 27th, 2023.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks you for your understanding.

Please be advised of a water shut down on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at approximately 1:00 p.m. to allow for necessary water infrastructure work.

Location of water interruption: 619, 621, 624, 626, 923, 924, 926, 927 and 961

The City of Iqaluit will issue a precautionary boil water advisory for the above addresses following the shutdown.

Roadblocks Remain in Place – 767 Fire Response

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of our plans for the two roadblocks in place following the weekend structure fire at building 767.

The roadblock on Natsiq Street will remain in place due to the amount of material from the fire still on the road. Public Works and the Fire Department are working together to see if the roadblock on Fred Coman St. can be lifted either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday.
