2015 Beautification Plan Priority List Public Meeting (Step 2)
Join us for the second step towards developing the 2015 Beautification Plan! At this public meting, Iqalummuit will develop a list of the priority projects for the year, and ideally form a citizens working group.
Committees
The City of Iqaluit uses committees to bring issues forward to the council. Committees forward issues by making recommendations to the council. Council then deliberates on the issue and may take action or make a direction. All council members serve on various committees.
Committees meet on a monthly basis or as required.

Human Resources
The Human Resources Department is responsible for maintaining a functioning qualified workforce. The goal of the Human Resources Department is to train, promote and motivate City staff as a unit so they may better serve the needs of the public.

Community Economic Development
The Economic Development Department assists the community by spearheading various community and economic development projects. The goal of this department is to collaborate with other departments as well as the community at large to better the City of Iqaluit.

PUBLIC WORKS AND ENGINEERING
The Public Works and Engineering Department is responsible for the essential services in the city that include water and sewer services, road maintenance, garbage and waste collection and the maintenance of all municipal buildings. The Department is structured into five operational divisions, each with a foreman who is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivery of quality services within each division.
